Sabah Sets Up Secretariat To Bring Home Students From Egypt
KOTA KINABALU, Feb 4 (Bernama) -- The Sabah government has set up a secretariat to coordinate efforts to fly home 314 students from Egypt.
State Secretary Datuk Sukarti Wakiman said their flights home would be arranged by the Malaysian Embassy in Cairo and the state government through commercial airlines.
The students will be brought home in stages subject to the flight schedules, he said in a statement.
Sukarti, who heads the secretariat, said for enquiries, contact secretariat officers Datuk Nordin Siman at 019-8620993, Datuk Amri A Suratman (019-8815854), Mohd Zaratkhan Abd Rahman (012-8023107) and Darus Nasir (012-8325400), and the Sabah Zakat Centre (088-240160).
The Sabah Zakat Centre can be contacted by phone during office hours from Monday to Friday and from 9am to 8pm on Saturday and Sunday.
